Review on Nokia Asha 308 and Asha 309

Nokia has launched two new phones of its Asha series- Asha 308 and Asha 309

Hello friends ,

Here comes two new handsets in Nokia Asha series Asha 308 and Asha 309 .Both are 2G-enabled handsets with a 3.0-inch, WQVGA capacitive touchscreen display, 2 megapixel camera, multiple home screens, stereo loudspeaker, FM radio and have up to 32GB microSD card support. The phones come with the usual social networking applications, YouTube as well as free 40 games from EA.Both phones run Nokia OS and has an 1110 mAh battery.

The difference between the two is that the Asha 308 is a dual SIM phone whereas the Asha 309 is a single SIM phone with built-in Wi-Fi.

Price Tag:

The smart feature phones will come at a retail price for about USD 99 (approx Rs 6000 with taxes), excluding taxes and subsidies, making it the cheapest in the Asha range.

142nd birth anniversary .

Maria Montessori was born on August 31, 1870, in Chiaravalle, Italy. She was an Italian physician and educator, best known for the philosophy of education which bears her name. Her educational methods are in use today in public and private schools throughout the world.

The Google doodle itself represents various tools that form an integral part of Montessori education methods as you find out.

Facebook Messages to get New Design/Facebook Tips n Tricks

Hello friends,

The messages tab on Facebook is going to get a new look as announced by the site designers that it would be upgrading how messages appear on Facebook.

The new look will in fact make the messages tab look very similar to an email inbox. The two changes are:

• A side-by-side layout. The left hand side has a list of all the recent conversations and messages, while the right has the entire conversation, this being the one you’ve clicked on. Users now also have the option of adding multiple photos and emoticons to their messages.

• Users can also search by a sender’s name or keyword from the main messages view. Keyboard commands have also been added for easier navigation. Users will be able to see the full list of available shortcuts, by typing Alt+Q on a PC or Control+Q on a Mac.

This feature will be rolled out to you in the coming weeks.

Pantel tablet T-Pad IS701C Review

Pantel Technologies has added a new tablet in its portfolio . Dubbed as T-Pad IS701C, the tablet is powered by Android 4.0 and will be sold for Rs. 4,999 in the market.

Key features of the tablet tagged:

• A cortex A8 1 GHz processor
• A 7-inch screen with a 800×480 pixel LCD screen with capacitive, multi-touch capabilities.
• Android 4.0: The device comes with the latest Ice cream Sandwich (ICS) Android operating system.

• The Penta T-Pad IS701C Tablet PC has Wi-Fi capabilities with 3G USB dongle support. It has a host USB 2.0 port, a micro USB port, and a 0.3 MP front camera.
• The tablet has a 512 MB DDR III RAM with an internal storage of 4 GB (expandable to 32 GB).

The table comes with the following apps:

Facebook, Twitter, Angry Birds, and Skype for video. Pantel claims that the tablet has more than 6 hours of battery back-up.
